New JCP Home

I got a chance to pop in to the new and improved JCP home to check out the collaboration they made with Jonathan Adler, Martha Stewart and Michael Graves. They are not completely done. But most of the products seen online are now available at the store. I took these pictures with my blackberry phone. Plus the lighting in the store are not very good. So the pictures don't do the justice. They look better in person. 

Featured Designer: Lee Broom

When I look at this London based designer, Lee Broom's product designs, they remind me of Jaime Hayon's, my all time favorite designer. With his background in Fashion, his design is edgy and unique. These are my favorites...

French Painted Chairs

I found these repurposed french style chairs at Paris Flea Market. We are having a party of 14 for our Thanksgiving dinner and they will make great side chairs. The back and seat parts are in leather and they were painted with Cece Caldwell's paint. Karen of Redoux Interiors is the artist behind them. Check out her other works here. I visit HomeGoods regularly, at least once of a month. Even, when I don't have any projects in mind. And yesterday, I saw some items that were right up my alley...

...in exception of this one. This chair is massive! The back is probably 7 feet high. I was surprised that they have it in the store. It's going for $999. I wonder if anyone will purchase it...

Product Review: Grandin Road Secretary Desk

After spending wee hours searching for the perfect secretary desk with the right scale and budget, I finally chose Grandin Road secretary desk. For $299, this desk is pretty sturdy and provides ample of storage for it's size. I also love the curvy legs.

Secretary Desk

I'm in the hunt for a secretary desk and loving how it looks in interior space.

My favorite one is the Hallings Secretary from Hickory. However, the price is out of my budget. Another good source for a vintage secretary desk is your local flea market and Craigslist! (All images via Pinterest and Decorpad)
